Lakshmi narasimha runa vimochana stotram in English

(The main benefit of reciting the Runa vimochana Narasimha stotram is to get rid of the debts by the mercy of Lord Narasimha. The stotram itself is a prayer to request God for his mercy. The debt here in a sense is not just confined to money but even about the debts that occur as a part of the duty of birth.)

Dhyanam:

Vagisa Yasya vadane lakshmiryasya cha vakshasi
Yasyasthe hrudaye samvith tam nrusimhamaham bhaje ||

Devatha kaarya sidhyartham, sabha-sthambha samudbhavam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram, namaami runa mukthaye. || 1 ||
(To fulfill the needs of Devas, you appeared out of a pillar in a sabha (court hall). O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Lakshmyaa-lingtha vamaangam, Bhakthaanaam vara daayakam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 2 ||

(The one who has Goddess Lakshmi embraced on his left side, who bestows boons to his devotees. O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)
Aantramaalaadaram shankha chakraabja, Ayudha dharinam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 3 ||
(The one who wears Antra or intestines (of Hiranyakasyapa) as a garland and who holds conch, discus, lotus, and other weapons in his hands. O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Smaranaath sarva paapagnam, Khadrooja visha naasanam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 4 ||
(By just remembrance of you, all the sins can get destroyed, the one who can nullify the poisonous effect caused by the decedents of Kadru (serpents). O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Simha-naadena mahatha, Digdanthi bhayanaasanam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 5 ||
(The one who has a ferocious roar like that of a Lion, the one with great teeth, protecting in all directions, he who destroys the fear. O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Prahlaada varadam sreesam, Daithyeshwara vidaaranam,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 6 ||
(The bestower of boons to Prahlada, The Lord of Goddess Lakshmi (Shreesham), the one who ripped apart the king of demons (Hiranyakasyapa). O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Kroora-grahai: peedithaanaam, Bhakthaanaam abhaya pradham,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 7 ||
(The Lord gives Abhaya (protection) to the devotees who are being suffered by the influence of cruel planets. O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Veda vedaantha yagnesam, brahma rudraadhi vanditham,
Sri nrusimham mahaaveeram namaami runa mukthaye. || 8 ||
(The one who is Lord of Vedas, Vedanta, and Yagnas, The one who is praised by Lord Brahma, Lord Rudra, and others. O Lord Narasimha, the great warrior, I offer my prayers to you to get rid of my debts or obligations.)

Ya: idam patathe nithyam, runa vimochana samstitham
Anrunee jaayaathe sadhyo dhanam seegram avaapnuyaath || 9 ||
(The one who regularly recites this runa vimochana stotram, desiring freedom from debts. They will get rid of debts, and soon they will acquire good amounts of wealth.)

Runa due to 5 Types of Droham’s:

We usually think that Runam (debt) is related to only money. But that is not accurate. There are 5 kinds of mistakes (Droham’s) that are done by human beings in their present life or past lives. The karma of these mistakes haunts in the form of Runam (debt) or Runa. The five kinds of Mistakes (Droham’s) are 1) Bhuta Droham 2) Rushi Droham 3) Manushya Droham 4) Pitru Droham and 5) Daiva Droham.
1. Bhuta Droham – Mistakes related to other animals and the environment – This will result in diseases.
2. Rishi Droham – Intentionally cheating deceiving sadhus, sanyasis, your guru, and anyone following a dharmic path. – This will result in Psychological problems and fears, etc.
3. Manushya Droham – Cheating or deceiving fellow humans – This will result in enemies in life.
4. Pitru Droham – Not performing karmas to departed ancestors, not taking care of parents, abortions, etc. – This will result in Graha Peeda’s.
5. Daiva Droham – Robbing temple lands, Jewels, etc. – This will result in severe financial problems.
(By chanting Runa Vimochana Narasimha Stotram one can get relieved of this accumulated Runa and its associated suffering.)
